SEC ALLOWED FOR RNA

How long does the system wait at a Q931 ALERT -ING stage before it moves on to possibly further defined testing. In other words, how long does it listen to the ring back?

The Q931 analysis portion of the test is over if

• the destination rings to the limit of the "second allowed for ring no answer" value
• a BUSY has been encountered.
• an CONNECT is received.

In a RECORDXX test. Recording does not start until Q931 analysis is complete. Thus, if you like to listen to the sound of ringback, on a line you likely know will not answer, set "SEC ALLOWED FOR RNA" to a low value.

Be aware that a call record can be marked as RNA but in the audio, you may hear an answer. The key point is that you "hear an answer". This is not a system error. The recording did not start until after the Q931 test was over. The call WAS RNA for the tested duration THEN the audio recording started.
